Hummus Beef with Pita

Makes 2 Servings

Macros: 440 Cal, Fat23g, Carbs 30g, Fibre 6, Protein 31g


Ingredients:

227 grams Extra Lean Ground Beef

1/2 Green Bell Pepper (medium, seeds removed, minced)

1 tsp Ground Allspice

1/2 tsp Ground Sumac

1/4 tsp Cinnamon

Sea Salt & Black Pepper (to taste)

1/2 cup Hummus

1 Whole Wheat Pita (small, cut into quarters)


Directions:

  1. Heat a nonstick pan over medium-high heat. Add the beef, green bell pepper, allspice, sumac, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Stir for eight to 10 minutes or until the beef is cooked through.

  2. Divide the beef, hummus, and pita on a plate or in a container. Enjoy!

Notes:

Leftovers: Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to three days.

Additional Toppings: Add olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, or fresh parsley.
