Makes 2 Burgers

Macros (condiments not included, just burger and bun)

505 cal fat 27g, carbs 33g, protein 34g, fibre 11g

Ingredients:

SERVED WITH 1 CUP ANY VEGGIES / SERVING (TOTAL OF 2 CUPS FOR THE 2 BURGERS)

1/2 lb, 225g, extra lean ground turkey

1 egg

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 tsp dried parsley

1/4 tsp poultry seasoning

1/2 tbsp cold milk

1 tbsp cold butter

2 slices any cheese

2 multi grain or gluten free burger buns

Not included in Macros:

Any other burger toppings you like: mustard, ketchup, relish, pickles,

lettuce, tomato, onion, etc. as desired

Directions:

Place turkey into a large bowl with egg, salt, pepper, parsley, poultry seasoning and milk. Stir to combine. {Mixture may seem a little wet, but once it starts cooking, the egg will help hold it’s shape together.}

Preheat indoor griddle to medium-medium high heat.

Divide meat into 2 even patties. Cut butter into skinny half tablespoon pats. Press butter into the centre of each patty forming the meat around it. Spray griddle pan with nonstick cooking spray and place each burger down onto the griddle. Cook about 4 minutes per side or until browned and completely cooked. Feel free to melt cheese on top of each burger. {Place cheese onto cooked side of the burger and cover with a large pot lid or foil for 1 minute to melt cheese.}

Remove burgers and place onto buns. Top with any desired toppings and condiments and serve.

Another option is to brown the burgers on both sides, on the indoor grill and then finish them on the BBQ. Burgers can be pre-made and kept in the fridge until ready to cook.
