Veggie Packed Beef Burgers

Makes 2 servings

Macros: 205 Cal, Fat 11g, Carbs 5g, Fibre 2g, Protein 21g



Ingredients:

189 grams Extra Lean Ground Beef

2/3 Garlic (clove, minced)

1 1/3 tbsps Red Onion (finely chopped)

1/3 Carrot (small, peeled and grated)

1/3 Zucchini (medium, seeds removed then grated)

1/3 Egg

1/2 tsp Cumin

1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika

1/3 tsp Sea Salt

4 leaves Romaine


Directions:

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the beef, garlic, onion, grated carrot, grated zucchini, egg, cumin, smoked paprika, and salt. Mix well and form the mixture into patties about 4-inches in diameter.

  3. Grill the burger patties for five to seven minutes per side or until the burgers are cooked through.

  4. To serve, use leaves of lettuce as a bun. Enjoy!

Notes:

Leftovers: Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to three days.

Serving Size: One serving is equal to one burger.

More Flavour: Add your favourite dried herbs and spices.

Additional Toppings: Top with your favourite burger toppings and condiments. Use a bun instead of lettuce leaves.

More Veggies: Add chopped spinach or fresh herbs.

No Beef: Use ground pork, turkey, chicken, or plant-based meat instead.
